Quick Start Guide

Get your waitlist up and running in under 10 minutes with this quick start guide.

Welcome to WaitlistCare! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and getting your first entries on the waitlist.

Step 1: Sign Up and Verify Your Email

After signing up, you’ll receive a verification email. Click the link to verify your email address before continuing.

Tip: Check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email within a few minutes.

Step 2: Complete Your Organization Setup

When you first log in, you’ll be guided through the initial setup:

  1. Organization Name — Enter your business name (e.g., “Sunny Days Childcare”)
  2. Entry Type — Choose between:
    • Child/Student with Parent/Guardian — Best for daycares, preschools, and childcare
    • Individual — Best for healthcare, therapy, and senior living

Important: Entry type cannot be changed after initial setup. Choose carefully based on your industry.

Step 3: Add Your First Location

Every waitlist is organized by location. Add at least one location to get started:

  1. Go to Configure → Locations
  2. Click Add Location
  3. Enter the location name and address
  4. Click Create

Groups help you organize entries by category. For example:

  • Childcare: Infant, Toddler, Preschool
  • Healthcare: New Patients, Established Patients
  • Senior Living: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care

To add groups:

  1. Go to Configure → Groups
  2. Click Add Group
  3. Enter a name and pick a color
  4. Click Create

Step 5: Add Your First Entry

Now you’re ready to add entries to your waitlist:

  1. Go to Waitlist
  2. Click Add to Waitlist
  3. Fill in the required information
  4. Select a location and group
  5. Click Save
