If your plans have changed and you no longer need to be on the waitlist, you may be able to remove yourself directly from your status page.
Checking If Self-Removal Is Available
Not all organizations enable self-removal. To check:
- Open your status link (from your welcome email)
- Look for a Remove from Waitlist button at the bottom of your entry card
- If you don’t see it, contact the organization to request removal

Remove from Waitlist
Are you sure you want to be removed from the waitlist? This action cannot be undone.
Important: Removal is permanent. You would need to sign up again if you change your mind, and your previous position is not reserved.
After Removal
Once you’ve been removed:
- Your position is released and others on the waitlist may move up
- Your status page will show that you’re no longer on the waitlist
- The Remove from Waitlist button will no longer appear
If Self-Removal Isn’t Available
If you don’t see the removal button, the organization hasn’t enabled this option. Contact them directly to request removal — check previous emails from them for their contact information.
Rejoining the Waitlist
If you change your mind after withdrawing:
- You’ll need to sign up again
- You’ll receive a new position based on when you rejoin
- Your previous position is not reserved
Tip: If you're unsure about leaving, consider contacting the organization first. They may be able to answer questions that help you decide.
