Payment Setup (Stripe)

Collect registration fees or deposits from contacts during self-signup. WaitlistCare integrates with Stripe Connect for secure payment processing.

How It Works

1. You connect a Stripe account
2. Enable payments per location in self-signup settings
3. Set the fee amount
4. Contacts pay during self-signup
5. Funds go directly to your Stripe account

Setting Up Stripe

Step 1: Connect Your Stripe Account

1. Go to Account → Payments
2. Click Connect Stripe Account
3. Complete the Stripe onboarding process (identity verification and banking details)
4. Return to WaitlistCare

The Payments page shows your Stripe connection status:

Step 2: Enable Payments per Location

Once Stripe is connected:

1. Go to Configure → Self Signup
2. Click Configure on a location
3. Toggle Require Payment on
4. Enter the fee amount
5. Save

What Contacts See

During self-signup, contacts see:

1. Standard signup form
2. Payment section with fee amount
3. Secure Stripe checkout
4. Confirmation after payment

The entry is only created after successful payment.

Viewing Payments

Each entry that required payment shows payment details in the entry’s Profile tab:

• Amount — The fee charged
• Status — Paid, Pending, Failed, or Refunded
• Payment ID — Stripe transaction reference
• Paid On — Date of payment

Issuing Refunds

To refund a payment:

1. Open the entry
2. Go to the Profile tab
3. Find the payment section
4. Click Issue Refund
5. Optionally enter a reason
6. Click Process Refund

Transaction Fees

Each payment incurs the following fees:

These fees are deducted automatically from each payment before it reaches your Stripe account.

Stripe Dashboard

Once connected, click Stripe Dashboard on the Payments page to:

• View all transactions
• Track payouts to your bank
• Download reports
• Manage disputes

Troubleshooting

Payment Failed

If a contact’s payment fails:

• They see an error message
• The entry is not created
• They can try again with a different payment method

Stripe Account Issues

If your Stripe account shows as Restricted:

• Click Open Stripe Dashboard to check for issues
• Verify your account is fully activated
• Contact Stripe support if needed

Security

• All payments processed by Stripe (PCI compliant)
• WaitlistCare never sees full card numbers
• Secure, encrypted transactions
